"Barber" means a person who engages in the shaving of the face or cutting or trimming or singeing of the hair or beard for hire, gain or hope of reward or in connection with any of the foregoing, the shampooing or massaging or the treating the head or face, or in respect of any of them the charging for any material used in connection with them.
