Update on the Residential Construction Industry Training Organization (RCITO)
The Industry Training Authority (ITA) will not be renewing its fee-for-service agreement with the Residential Construction Industry Training Organization (RCITO) as of April 1, 2012. RCITO has been responsible for six ITA-designated trades, including the Geothermal Technician (GT) program for which you are registered. Management of these programs has now shifted to ITA.
What does this mean if I am an apprentice Geothermal Technician?
ITA will continue to support you throughout your apprenticeship so that you are able to acquire both your Geothermal Technician Certificate of Qualification and Certificate of Apprenticeship. If you have any questions about your apprenticeship, please contact the Geo Exchange BC at 604-596-0595 or by email at adm@geoexchangebc.com; or contact Richard Ho at ITA Customer Service at (778) 327-5910; or by email at rho@itabc.ca.
