Financial supports for apprentices include Employment Insurance, which may be available to apprentices while attending technical training, and a range of grants and tax credits introduced by the federal and provincial governments. Additional bursaries or scholarships may also be available for specific groups such as Aboriginal and youth apprentices.

Employers may be eligible for tax credits for sponsoring apprentices, as well as for grants like the Tradesperson’s Tools Deduction.
