| The UA Piping Industry College of BC (UAPICBC) is a private, not-for-profit trades training educational institution. The UAPICBC is dedicated to providing the most advanced and cost-effective trades training for any individual who wishes to pursue a career in the piping trades, with state-of-the-art facilities and a regularly updated curriculum that keeps pace with the needs of the workplace.
HOW IT WORKS:
Piping Opportunities for Women, the UAPICBC’s innovative new program, is for women who wish to explore all the options in the piping trades.
The program was developed for those who have minimal or no experience within the piping trades and would like to discover whether these trades are the right fit for them. During the program, students have an opportunity to meet and learn from established women tradespersons. The program begins with an Exploratory Course, which includes a mix of schoolwork and practical, hands-on training. Upon successful completion of the course, women have the opportunity to move forward into a Foundation Program, which provides the basic skills and knowledge required to enter a programs for either plumbing or welding.
