Marine Foundation

The Marine Foundation Program provides employment readiness skills for persons seeking employment in the construction and/or repair of recreational vessels and light commercial vessels, with career interests in one or more of the following: composites technology, refinishing, marine woodworking, mechanical and systems installations, sailing vessel rigging.

Challenge Certification/Recognize Prior Experience

If you have significant work experience in a trade but have never been certified in Canada, you may apply to challenge the certification.


If you sponsor apprentices but have never been certified in Canada, you may request to supervise and sign-off apprentices when they are ready to be certified.
