Introduction to Culinary Skills
Introduction to Culinary Skills is a cohort based 24-week comprehensive program designed to enhance the skills, knowledge and employability of eligible participants to secure entry level employment as cooks, prep/line cooks or kitchen helpers in the hospitality and restaurant sector.
In addition to the core courses and a 3-week practicum with local employers, the program offers customized Essential Skills/Soft Skills, and Employability Skills training to further enhance participants’ competitiveness in the labour market.
Program participants receive individualized coaching/advising support designed to address any emerging issues and to maximize student retention and success in the program.
