Overview
You can get a head start on your career while you’re still in high school with one of the trade apprenticeship paths for youth.
An apprenticeship is a combination of mostly on-the-job training and some classroom learning. You’ll be in the workforce and getting a pay cheque while you learn a trade that can be your ticket to a solid future that has flexibility and lots of potential for career growth.
Tradespeople keep British Columbia and its economy running. They build things, they grow things and they fix things. The person that fixes your car, the people that build bridges and those that build homes are all tradespeople who learned by apprenticing.
With ITA Youth Programs you can start your apprenticeship and earn high school credits at the same time. That means when you finish high school you can be well on your way to a great career that pays well.
