The CEO provides leadership and direction for ITA and has overall responsibility for the general management of, and control over, the business and activities of ITA and is accountable for working in partnership with government, employers and learners to ensure that ITA fulfills the goals and objectives established by the Board. The CEO does this by leading and managing ITA through the development and implementation of strategies and policies, the management of its resources, ensuring efficient and effective operations, and performing other duties required by the Board.

The Director, Communications maintains a thorough understanding of ITA’s business strategies and operating environment to increase the visibility of ITA programs to a variety of internal and external stakeholders. This role is critical to increase the profile of the ITA’s mandate across BC and with various government levels. The Director will act as a spokesperson for public affairs/community engagement speaking opportunities and identify partnerships to reinforce ITA’s mandate. This is an outstanding opportunity to make an impact by promoting the value of a career in trades and apprenticeship, working closely with a dynamic leadership team.
