This past year has been pivotal for SkilledTradesBC as well as for the skilled trades industry in British Columbia.
Earlier this year, we shared our new Three Year Strategic Plan that reflected our expanded mandate to raise the profile of skilled trades, modernize trades training, and implement Skilled Trades Certification in B.C.
We celebrated some big milestones this year, with record breaking apprenticeship registrations, including those amongst Indigenous, youth, and underrepresented communities, and the successful implementation of Skilled Trades Certification. We’re excited to build on this momentum in the new year and continue our work with our system partners and skilled trades community to build an inclusive, world-class skilled trades workforce that meets the needs of all British Columbians.
